Hello! I’m Will DeVary. As a director, I've worked with The Schoolhouse Theater, Theaterlab, On the Verge, The Cherry Artspace, Ithaca Theatre Collective, Floyd Central Theatre Arts, and Strange Players. I have served as assistant director to Austin Pendleton, Seret Scott, and Owen Thompson, and have been fortunate to direct brilliant collaborators and artists like Karen Ziemba (Tony Award Winner), Delaney Williams (The Wire), Ali Louis Bourzgui (Broadway, The Who’s Tommy), Sushma Saha (Broadway, 1776), and Austin Pendleton. I recently co-founded BURN1, a production collective based in New York City with my amazing partner Lou Baron, and have done extensive production work with Jefferson White's Means of Production. Additionally, my writing about theatre has been published in Zoetic Literary Magazine, and I served as lead editor for Beyond the Studio, a Conversation about Acting by three-time Fulbright Scholar Cynthia Henderson.
